We live in a two story concrete home and are still anxiously awaiting the arrival of our furniture, especially our beds. The kids keep complaining that the floor is harder in Micronesia than it is in Rocklin, and Caleb keeps praying that he will be able to get an air mattress. We occupy the second floor, which includes, three bedrooms, two baths, a kitchen, and a spacious wrap around balcony. Above is an early morning view from our back porch. Below is an evening view from our balcony.

It did not take long for the kids to become aquainted with the locals.

We are enjoying our adventures so far. We miss friends and family and hope everyone is doing well. We will post again soon so stayed tuned.

(With apologies to the skipper and his mate...)
Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
a tale of a fateful trip.
That started from thier Rocklin port,
aboard this tiny ship.
The mate was a mighty sailin' man,
the skipper brave and sure.
Six passengers set sail that day,
for a fouteen hour trip, and a two year tour………
The weather started getting rough,
the tiny ship was tossed.
If not for the courage of the fearless crew,
the Hanson's would be lost; the Hanson's would be lost.
The ship took ground on the shore of this uncharted desert isle,
with Seth, and Rebecca too,
there's Cole and Caleb, and Isabelle, and Clare too,
here on Hanson's Isle.
So this is the tale of our castaways,
they're here for a long, long time.
They'll have to make the best of things,
it's an uphill climb.
The first mate and his skipper too,
will do their very best,
to make the others comfortable,
in the tropic island nest.
No phones, no lights, no motor cars,
not a single luxury.
Like Robinson Crusoe,
it's primitive as can be.
So join us here each week my friend,
you're sure to get a smile.
From six stranded Castaways,
Here on Hanson's Isle.
